Dr. Kinder provides physical therapy for pelvic health, pregnancy and postpartum, and orthopedics.
While available to see all patients, she has a special interest in treating women who are pregnant or postpartum. The female body goes through significant changes during pregnancy and postpartum. Changes in posture, musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems can set the stage for injuries – often regardless of the number of years postpartum. Physical therapy is a safe and effective method to regain the strength and neuromuscular connections that are often altered pre-and post-baby.
Common challenges women express pre-and post-baby include: (1) urinary/ bowel discomfort & leakage, (2) pain/pressure/heavy feeling in the pelvis, (3) pelvic pain (pain with intercourse, insertion of a tampon, pain with gynecological speculum), (4) overall loss of connection with core musculature, what do these challenges have in common? Treatable pelvic floor and deep core dysfunctions that can improve your quality of life.
